The pipe track, one of the oldest hiking routes on Table Mountain which dates back to 1887 and runs below a series of ranges that are popularly referred as the twelve apostles. It is parallel from huge water pipes running along under western slopes .
The route offers some of the most spectacular views in all of South Africa—on a clear day you can see majestic sandstone cliffs, ravines and mountain ranges as well as 12 Apostles mountain range; you are also able to catch sight of the Atlantic Ocean, Lion's Head Track and Camps Bay
The route is also home to many of the fynbos flowers and South African proteas unique to Table Mountain.
This walk will end at the same place where we started, and it will not take us to the top of Table Mountain.
